PROJECT DESCRIPTION

 

The “Commons” has become a hub of pedestrian activity in the expanding East Campus area. A new conference center, molecular biology center, and existing classroom facilities surround this unique crossroads greenspace at the edge of U.C.’s Medical Campus.

 

Designed by Hargreaves Associates, this space incorporates artful cone, serpentine and pyramid land forms, a unique, computer-controlled participatory fountain, sculptural use of plants, and the siting of several works of art.

 

Meisner + Associates /Land Vision provided contract documents, refined design details and construction period services for the project.
