PROJECT DESCRIPTION

 

Dayton’s West End is where contemporary aviation pioneers Orville and Wilbur Wright and poet Paul Lawrence Dunbar were raised. This park is dedicated to these men and is a place where other “Heroes from the West End” will be memorialized.

 

The park overlooks the Great Miami River and Dayton skyline from the flood levee above and connects to the Miami River Trail.

 

It is a critical link in the riverwalk, bikeway system and a key gateway to the downtown.
